Chef AJ here!
I had been addicted to sugar, sweets, soda, desserts, chocolates and ice cream since preschool... It ran in the family. My grandma had her leg amputated due to diabetes. My mom died early after a life of yo-yoing... We couldn't say no to desserts and it was killing us.
Desperate for a way out I started substituting dates for sugar 20 years ago... nuts for flour... and before long I was creating recipes with nothing but whole foods...
All of a sudden I found that I could stop whenever I wanted. I couldn't believe it...
Even though at first my desserts were too rich to lose weight, they did help me overcome my addiction to sugar and flour. In many ways, this was the most important, liberating step in my health journey...
As a pastry chef I got to share this passion for healthy, rich desserts with the world and I want to share it with you too!
To be fair: if you're looking to lose weight, the recipes in the class may be too rich for you - but they're a whole lot better than anything else out there. So if you're in a position where you can safely enjoy desserts or want to get away from sugar, then this class is for you.

You see, before becoming known for my weight loss success, I had a five-year stint as the Executive Vegan Pastry Chef at Santé restaurant in Los Angeles. Since the restaurant closed down and I'm no longer working as a pastry chef, I get to share everything!
